Head Start
Head Start provides comprehensive child development services to low-income children and families, with a focus on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school. Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, disability, social, mental health and other services to enrolled children and families.
Kosciusko County Head Start provides part-day classes in Warsaw, North Webster, and Mentone. Transportation services are available for part-day classes. One full-day, full-year program is available in Warsaw for eligible families. All classrooms are accredited through the National Association of the Education of Young Children.
