For those people living with disabilities in a nursing home, Cardinal provides a staff person to visit and take them out into the community up to 24 hours each month.
It is always the individual's choice where they would like to go. The goal of the outings is to provide life-enriching, social experiences, for people to enjoy life and look forward to each day.
For Doris, shown here, it is a chance to play bingo at the Senior Center, eat out at a restaurant, have her hair done at the salon or stroll through the Biblical Gardens. Through the Nursing Home Program, everyday activities such as these add fullness to life.
