We at Cardinal Services, Inc. of Indiana value and respect your right to privacy, and are committed to protecting it. We are grateful for your trust that we will use the information you provide us carefully and sensibly. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to outline for you what information we collect, how it is used, what we disclose, and how your information is protected.

II. What information do we collect?
• Volunteer Registration: When you register online to volunteer with Cardinal, you must enter your name, address, telephone number, email address, parent/guardian name if you are under 18, your areas of volunteer interest, county of residence, an emergency contact name, emergency contact telephone number, and the names of three references.
• Donor Inquiry: When you register to receive donor information, you are asked for your name, your spouse’s name when applicable, address, fax and telephone numbers, and your email address. You will also be asked to indicate by which method you are interested in donating and on which donor funds you would like information.
• Information NOT collected: We do not collect personally secure information such as social security, credit or bank account numbers on our website.
III. How do we use the information you provide?
• Volunteer Information: The information you enter on the volunteer page is your application to become a Cardinal volunteer, and is forwarded to the Volunteer Manager. The information is used begin your volunteer relationship with Cardinal. You will be contacted by the Volunteer Manager within a week after you click the “submit” button, and an interview will be scheduled to further determine the appropriate role you can play as a Cardinal Services volunteer.
• Donor Inquiry Information: Your information is forwarded to the Director of Development. The director will use the data you provided to mail or email to you the information you have requested about donating to Cardinal Services.
• Your information may also be used: We take your inquiry as an expression of interest in Cardinal Services and the work we do each day. Therefore, we may contact you to invite you to an open house or “Cardinal Connection” meeting to visit us and learn more about our work.
• Your information will NOT be used: Cardinal Services will not trade, sell, rent or otherwise share your information.
• Cardinal’s Pledge: We will take all reasonable measures to ensure that any person or entity receiving personal information for the purposes described above are obligated to protect the personal information on your behalf. By submitting your information, you consent to the use of your personal information as set forth above, and to the transfer of that data to those individuals necessary to the completion of your request.
IV. Will Cardinal Services, Inc. disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
Cardinal Services, Inc. does not sell, trade, share or rent your personal information to outside parties. The information you provide about yourself when contacting us is used only to the extent necessary to complete your request. The only circumstance under which Cardinal may release information is when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to
1. comply with the law, or
2. protect the rights, property or safety of Cardinal Services, Inc., our clients, staff, or others.
V. How does Cardinal Services, Inc. protect customer information?
We use no encryption since no personally secure data (SSN, credit or bank acct #'s) are collected. Donor information is formatted into an email and sent immediately to development@cardinalcenter.org. No further record of donor information is maintained on the system. Volunteer information is sent to a database for Cardinal Services’ retrieval. The database is stored in a hidden directory on the hosting server and is only accessible by Cardinal Services.
VI. Your consent and changes to the Privacy Policy:
By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as we have outlined in this policy. Cardinal Services may decide to change this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
