Duck Season is Now Open - Look for us at the Classic Rock Concert this Friday Night!

Keep an eye out for the big, yellow duck, because it’s now officially duck season!
On June 1st we began sales for our 3rd Annual Duck Race. This is Cardinal Center’s largest annual fundraiser and we invite everyone to join in the fun!

To kick off the season, Cardinal Center CEO, Jane Greene visited the children in the Warsaw Head Start class. June 1st was “Duck Day” in the classroom and Greene contributed by reading Eric Carle’s 10 Little Rubber Ducks.

Outfitted in bright yellow baseball caps with orange duckbills and tail feathers, the children enjoyed story-time followed by milk and cookies – duck shaped, of course! But perhaps the most exciting of all was the appearance of Quacky, the Cardinal Center Duck Race mascot.

We will be racing 8000 rubber ducks on Center Lake in Warsaw on July 28, where some lucky person will win $5000 cash! Other prizes this year include Notre Dame football tickets, a gas grill from Lowe’s and a Ramada/Wagon Wheel Theatre package. Ducks are $5 each or 6 for $25. So far, we have sold ducks at the Mentone Egg Fest and the Rochester Round Barn Festival. This Friday you can find us at the Classic Rock Concert in Central Park and Silver Lake Days throughout the weekend. Stop by our booth and get your ducks!
