We believe our first responsibility is to the people we serve; both children and adults with disabilities or other needs and their families. We must listen to those we serve in order to meet their expectations. We must assure that we consider their self-respect and personal safety. Any support we provide shall be directed to help those we serve gain more control over their life circumstances. We must strive to provide services in the most timely, quality conscious, cost effective manner possible.

We are responsible to our employees, the people who carry out our mission. Everyone is to be treated with dignity and respect. We strive to provide safe working conditions. Consideration shall be given to the demands family responsibilities place on employees. We must compensate employees fairly and recognize them for efforts that contribute to the success of our mission. We encourage our employees to participate in decision-making and we strive to provide them with opportunities for their development and advancement. We must provide competent supervisors and their actions must be fair and ethical.

We are responsible to the community in which we live and work. We must be good citizens and be involved in our community to affect positive change. We shall maintain the properties we are privileged to use for the benefit of those we serve.

Finally, we are accountable to the public to be fiscally responsible to assure the continuation of services for those in need. We must continually improve services, be poised to address unmet needs and advocate for those we serve. When we operate according to these beliefs, our corporate mission should be realized.
