Cardinal Center is a community based not-for-profit that began in 1954 to challenge and support both adults and children with disabilities and/or other needs. Today, Cardinal Center serves more than 3,000 people annually in a 4 county area that includes Kosciusko, Marshall, Cass, and Fulton Counties in Indiana. 525 employees assure that the needs of each person are met. Cardinal Center is a diverse organization, offering a full array of services. Our goal is to assure that customers receive person-centered services and that they are satisfied with the services and attention they receive.
- an array of services are available for adults with disabilities to choose from including sheltered work, day activities and activities in the community. People are provided the assistance they need to reach their goals.
- people with disabilities are assisted in determining what kind of job they have the interest and skills to do. They can receive assistance getting a job and the support needed to help them retain the job.
- people living in their own apartments or homes are provided with the training and support needed to allow them to live independently.
- people live with 7 other individuals and receive 24-hour supervision and training. The intent is to help people acquire daily living skills.
- people with developmental disabilities living in nursing homes are given the opportunity to participate in community activities of their choice with supervision.
- A year-round childcare program for children ages infant - 36 months whose parents are working or in school full-time. Head Start has provided high quality services for pre-school children in Kosciusko County since 1994. Now the same support is available in your home for children from birth to 3 years old. There will be the opportunity to socialize with other mothers and their children two (2) times each month at the Early Head Start location.
- early intervention services for children birth to 3 with developmental delays. Most services are provided right in the family home by qualified therapists.
- a comprehensive developmental program for children who income qualify. Children receive high quality educational, nutritional, medical and dental services. Lunch and transportation are usually provided.
- a home-based parent training and support program for families with young children who have greater stressors than the norm.
- a nutrition program serving expectant mothers and children from birth to 5 to ensure that they receive proper nutrition. Food vouchers are available to those who income-qualify.

KABS (Kosciusko Area Bus Service) City Bus - provides a variety of accessible transportation services throughout Kosciusko County. "Call-in" service is available to get people where they need to go.
Sus Amigos - a service that helps grow Healthy Hispanic relations in our community by bridging cultural gaps.
